Caffiene? Check. Protein? Check. Tastebuds singing? Check.
A frappe with over 35 grams of protein AND less calories than your favorite Starbucks frappuccino, you’ve found it.

I have this banana cinnamon roll protein frappe for breakfast every morning I don’t have the best protein overnight oats. With the caffeine and portability of this drink, it’s more convenient for getting some quick protein in on the go.
I don’t know about you, but I HATE spending $4-$5 on a cup of coffee! We’re big believers of living below your means and not sinking a ton of money into eating, or drinking out.
We count our calories, more specifically our macros, using the MyFitnessPal app. Ever since we started I’ve realized how easy it is to drink your calories in something like sweet tea or fancy iced coffee, and still be left starving, already 500 calories over your goal.
This frappe wins on taste & price alone for me, but if you still need some convincing…

A huge reason we love Bowmar Nutrition is their unique flavors. This protein frappe using Bowmar’s Protein Cinnamon Roll Powder is one of my favorite protein recipes we’ve created. We live just over a mile from a Dunkin’ AND a Starbucks and I have no hesitation to whip this frappe every morning instead of driving or walking to the barista counter.
With this drink I get almost 1/3 of my protein goal for the day, with a fraction of the carbs, calories, fat, and sugar of a coffee shop frappe!
I can’t recommend the Ninja blender for frappes, smoothies, and blended drinks enough. I always liked smoothies, but before we got our Ninja they were such a hassle. Having to push down the huge chunks of unblended ice or fruit every 20 seconds and never getting a completely smooth result was so frustrating!
This frappe in my Ninja takes 10 SECONDS to blend. 10 seconds. It’s also super easy to take apart and clean!! I only have the standard blender, but I’m about to get this whole suite!
For anything with coffee, I use a straw. For anything thicker than regular coffee (which I use Koffie Straws for), like a smoothie or this frappe, I recommend getting some silicone reusable smoothie straws. I use these I got at Academy a few years ago and have no complaints. They clean up great and thick smoothies pass right through!
There are many ways you could customize this recipe and get almost the same results. I’m all about taking a recipe and making it what works for you, and your macros. Here are a few substitution ideas! Keep in mind these will change the nutrition facts.
Instead of unsweetened soy milk: 2% milk, skim milk, almond milk
Instead of unsweetened cold brew: shot(s) of espresso, home brewed coffee- cooled, sweetened or flavored cold brew
Instead of Bowmar Cinnamon Roll Protein: Any flavor protein will work, but remember this ingredient is the main component of flavor in this frappe. Using strawberry won’t result in the “Cinnamon Roll” taste.
For a thicker texture, add more bananas, less liquid, or stick in the freezer until desired consistency.
For a thinner texture, add less bananas, or more liquids.
This recipe yields approximately 24 oz!
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
