We made homemade pizza with store-bought kits a ton growing up. I was always thrilled at the chance to help in the kitchen, and as a (recovered) picky eater, I loved to make it exactly how I wanted. My quarter of the pizza could have exactly what I wanted on it.
This two ingredient no yeast pizza dough recipe is even EASIER than those kits we used to buy and WAY less calories. Yes. Please. It’s fast. easy, and you only have to dirty up one bowl to make it.
Cut into 8 pieces, this dough is around 85 calories a slice. That’s unbelievable for pizza dough!! Not only is it way less calories than a normal pizza, you can completely customize it.
Papa Johns cheese pizza slice: 290 calories, per their website.
2 ingr. dough cheese pizza slice: 1/8 of dough (85 cal) + 1/4 cup cheese (90 cal) + 2 tbsp marinara (18 cal) = 193 calories!!!
The possibilities are endless for the pizzas you could make with this crust:
- supreme pizza
- four cheese pizza
- meat lover’s pizza
- BBQ chicken pizza (pictured below!)
- veggie pizza
- margherita pizza
If you don’t finish all your pizza, refrigerate it, then pop it in the oven the next day at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes and it’s brand new! Leftover friendly recipes are BIG in our house.
