As you’ll see, when I make this I only do half the pizza. That’s the great thing about making your pizza at home, it’s completely customizable!

I usually make half BBQ chicken, and half classic red sauce with cheese, sausage, and peppers.

The star of the show for this meal is the two ingredient dough. Self rising flour and Greek yogurt is all you need!

When compared to a Papa Johns of the same type, pizza with this dough was around 100 calories less PER SLICE! Check it out in my original post on the two ingredient pizza dough!

It’s as simple as it looks. All you need for this BBQ chicken pizza is Greek yogurt, self rising flour, BBQ sauce, red onions, mozzarella, and grilled chicken.

Two Ingredient Dough BBQ Chicken Pizza

  • Prep time: 10 minutes
  • Cook time: 15 minutes
  • Total time: 25 minutes

BBQ Chicken pizza at home is easy as PIE!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 4-8 oz grilled chicken
  • BBQ sauce
  • red onion, diced
  • shredded mozzerella
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • 1)
    1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
    2. Prepare grilled chicken: cut up tenders or breasts into bite sized pieces and place into a skillet greased with nonstick spray. Dust with onion powder and cook until done, when the interior reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
    3. In a medium sized bowl, combine self rising flour and Greek yogurt with a rubber spatula. Grease hands with oil and form dough into a ball.
    4. Cover with a dishrag in a warm place (like beside a preheating oven) for 5 minutes to rise.
    5. Grease pizza pan and spread dough into a circle using hands. The thickness will determine how long it needs to cook. I spread the dough to about a a half inch or less of thickness!
    6. Spread BBQ sauce of choice evenly over dough.
    7. Add your grilled chicken. I prefer to put the chicken under the cheese so it doesn’t dry out in the oven!
    8. Add onions and mozzarella cheese.
    9. Place on the bottom rack for 12-15 minutes and check pizza. If you want the cheese to brown more, move to top rack and broil. Watch closely as this won’t take long. Enjoy!
